Argh! However I am happy to report that I am going to go to a LAN party for the first time in 12 months, and I hope someone else I know will be able to come along too. It's being put on by the UCC (University Computer Club at UWA) in the loft area at the top of Cameron Hall. http://www.ucc.asn.au/infobase/events/index.ucc#200604011 I'm happy to see bzflag and Quake 3 in the list, they're things that I know how to play. =) Taken from the above page: Cost: Members: Free - Non-Members: $5 (or $10 to join) Bring $5 if you want UCC Pizza for dinner! What are we playing: * Enemy Territory * Warcraft III * Battlefield 2 * Counter-Strike: Source * Starcraft * Doom 3 * UT2004 * Air Buccaneers * Civilisation 4 * Halo and much, much more - if you can think of something, bring it down and there's bound to be someone who wants to play! For those of you without the latest graphics cards there will also be the latest in classic and retro gaming: * bzflag * Quake III * Nethack * Zangband There is also the Gamecube and there will be some Nintendo DS action (so bring one if you have one). My brother, the worthy Mr Hip Bone, has informed me that he already has something else on. Bah. Hopefully some other list members will make my night by coming along. And woe, they didn't list Scorched 3D! If I was able to come along, we'd have to set up a game and get all the UCC nerds hooked on it. :) [ snip ] > My brother, the worthy Mr Hip Bone, has informed me that he already > has something else on. I would've loved to come along, especially as I could've "borrowed" Jodes' nice lightweight LCD monitor. Mmm, light. But tragically I must say no - there's a PUCS rehearsal camp on that (ie. this) weekend. Hell damn fart. :-( > Andrew. Ah well. I insist you go along and tell me about it in detail later on, so I can vicariously LANgame through you. :) Pete. PS. I'm kind of disturbed that they'd include Nethack/ZAngband on the list.
